The Krowor Municipal Health Directorate, in collaboration with the Baatsona Community Clinic, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, officially launched Breast Cancer Awareness Month—“Pink October” to raise awareness, promote early detection, and offer free breast screening services to residents within the municipality.

Speaking under the theme “Catch it Early, Treat it Right, Survive it,” the Municipal Director of Health Services, Dr. Seli Deh, emphasized the importance of regular medical check-ups and the need to show support to Breast Cancerncer patients throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
Delivering the keynote address, Rev. Dr. Jane M. Okrah underscored the call to expand awareness efforts, encourage consistent screening, and ensure holistic care for those affected. She further highlighted the crucial role of men in championing Breast Cancer awareness across the municipality.
The launch brought together a diverse gathering of Queen Mothers of Baatsonaa, health professionals, religious leaders, and community members, all of whom pledged their support to sustain and amplify breast cancer awareness throughout Krowor.
