World Malaria Day is an international observance commemorated every year on 25th April and recognizes Global efforts to control Malaria. Marking the World Malaria Day celebration, for 2023, under the theme; “Time to Deliver Zero Malaria: Invest, Innovate, Implement”, the Krowor Municipal Health Directorate in collaboration with Cleantown Health Center, Krowor South, organized health screening for residents within the Krowor Municipality. This important celebration occurred on the 25th April, 2023.
The activities done included:
- Malaria screening
- Retro screening
- Hypertension screening
- Ear, nose and throat screening
- Eye screening
- Mental health counselling
- Health education (malaria, tuberculosis, epilepsy, covid 19)
- Nutritional counselling
- Random blood sugar
A total of 134 individuals benefitted from the programme.
