SPECIAL ASSEMBLY MEETING FOR THE ELECTION OF PRESIDING MEMBER
The was a Special Assembly Meeting organized by the Krowor Municipal Assembly purposely for the election of a Presiding Member for the assembly. The venue for the election was at the Regional GNAT Hall, Addogonno, Nungua on Wednesday 3rd August, 2022.
In attendance was the Municipal Chief Executive for Krowor, Hon. Joshua Nii Bortey, Municipal Co-ordinating Director, Mr. Siegfried K. Addo, all the 12 Hon. Assembly Members, Heads for Department and other dignitaries.
The august program was started at 11:40 am with an opening prayer from Mrs. Martha Afi Agbedanu.
The Co-ordinating Director gave the introductory speech and welcomed everyone to the gathering.
Officials from the Electoral Commission of Ghana were present to conduct the election activities.
The contestants were Hon. Nii Botwe and Hon. Abu Sakra.
After the first and second rounds of voting, none of the two contestants gained the required absolute majority to become the Presiding Member of the assembly.
The Special Assembly Meeting was adjoined to another date that is 10 days from Wednesday 3rd August, 2022 for another round of voting.
