The Krowor Municipal Assembly, through the Krowor Business Advisory Centre (GEA–Nungua BAC), has empowered 95 young people with practical vocational and entrepreneurial skills under the GEA–Mastercard Foundation Business in a Box (BizBox) Project.
The four-day training, held from the 8th to 11th September, 2026 at the Live Worship Centre, Nungua, focused on Make-up Artistry and Batik Tie & Dye, complemented by business development, entrepreneurship and mindset transformation sessions designed to prepare participants for self-employment and sustainable livelihoods.
The beneficiaries comprised 48 young women trained in Make-up Artistry, while 47 youth – 32 females and 15 males – received training in Batik Tie & Dye.
The initiative forms part of a broader commitment to youth empowerment, skills development, entrepreneurship and inclusive local economic development, while supporting broader national efforts to create sustainable economic opportunities for young people.
