The Krowor Municipal Assembly successfully observed the March edition of the National Sanitation Day exercise on Saturday, 7th March 2026 at the Ananse Beach in collaboration with La Francophonie Ghana, representing the coalition of French-speaking countries in Ghana.
The Assembly was honoured by the presence of revered ambassadors and representatives from countries including France, Rwanda, and Ivory Coast, whose participation demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and community partnership. The event also marked the beginning of a series if activities to commemorate the La Francophonie Ghana Festival.
We extend our sincere appreciation to La Francophonie Ghana for the collaboration which ensured that Ananse Beach is now significantly cleaner than before. We also commend members of the street cleansing team, business operators, and the many volunteers whose dedication and hard work made the exercise a success.
Maintaining the cleanliness of our beaches is essential as they hold great potential as an attractive tourism and recreational destination for residents and visitors alike.
Together, we can continue to protect and promote this important natural asset for the benefit of the Municipality.
