KROMA OBSERVES NATIONAL SANITATION DAY

On Saturday, 1st November 2025, the Krowor Municipal Assembly successfully held the 2nd edition of the National Sanitation Day exercise, which commenced from the Nungua Lorry Station to the Bank Road. The exercise once again demonstrated our collective resolve to maintain a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment for all.
We were privileged to have in attendance Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim, Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, whose participation reaffirmed government’s commitment to promoting environmental cleanliness across all municipalities.
Our profound appreciation also goes to Oboade Nortse King Odaifio Welentsi III, Nungua Mantse and President of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs, for his leadership and continued encouragement toward communal action and civic discipline.
We equally commend Hon. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, Member of Parliament and Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, for her strong participation and motivating presence, which highlighted the importance of political leadership in driving community-based sanitation initiatives.
The exercise was spearheaded by Hon. Ing. Paul Afotey Quaye, Municipal Chief Executive for Krowor, who applauded all stakeholders and residents for their commitment, urging everyone to sustain the practice of cleanliness beyond organized clean-up days.
The Assembly extends heartfelt appreciation to the Church of Pentecost, whose members turned out in large numbers to support the exercise, Zoomlion Ghana Limited for their logistical and technical support, and the dedicated staff of the Krowor Municipal Assembly whose hard work and coordination ensured a successful event.
To all staff residents, individuals, groups, and institutions that joined hands, we say thank you. Together, we can make sanitation a culture, and not just an event.
