On October 9th and 10th, 2025, the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council (GARCC) undertook its 3rd-quarter monitoring exercise within the Krowor Municipality. The exercise focused on assessing sanitation conditions and waste management practices across selected areas in line with GARCC’s mandate to provide technical backstopping to Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs).
This important initiative forms part of efforts to advance the President’s agenda on improving sanitation and promoting a cleaner, healthier environment across the Greater Accra Region. The monitoring team engaged key stakeholders within the Krowor Municipal Assembly to identify progress made, challenges encountered, and strategies for sustaining good sanitation standards.
The Assembly remains committed to maintaining environmental cleanliness and wishes to urge residents to embrace sanitation as a shared responsibility.
