KROWOR MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HOLDS TRAINING ON ACTIVATION OF CORPORATE EMAIL FOR SMART WORKPLACE MIGRATION

As part of efforts to enhance productivity, improve communication, and transition to a paperless working environment, the Krowor Municipal Assembly has organized a training session on the activation of corporate email accounts. This initiative is in line with the Assembly’s commitment to fully integrate into the Smart Workplace Platform, a digital system designed to facilitate seamless communication, efficient workflow, and improved records management across public sector institutions.

The training, held on 6th and 8th of August 2025 at the KroMA Assembly Hall, brought together all staff members who have been issued corporate email addresses by the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development. The objective was to equip participants with the knowledge and technical skills required to activate, configure, and effectively utilize their official email accounts in preparation for the migration to the Smart Workplace system, which will be coordinated by the Regional Coordinating Council on the 27th of August 2025.

Facilitated by experienced IT officers from the Assembly’s Management Information Systems (MIS) department, the session covered key areas including:

  • Step-by-step activation of corporate email accounts.
  • Setting up secure passwords and account recovery options.
  • Best practices for email communication within a corporate and professional environment.
  • Understanding the benefits of a paperless office, including reduced operational costs and improved turnaround time for official correspondence.

Participants engaged actively in hands-on exercises, with MIS officers providing one-on-one support to ensure that every staff could successfully log in and access their accounts. Staff were also guided on how to integrate their corporate email with mobile devices to ensure constant connectivity and responsiveness to official communications.

The training concluded with a question-and-answer session where participants sought clarification on technical challenges and security protocols. The MIS Unit assured staff of ongoing support during the migration process and encouraged them to report any difficulties encountered.
