ENGAGING OUR TRANSPORT STAKEHOLDERS FOR A BETTER KROWOR.

On Wednesday, 28th May 2025, the MCE, Hon. Paul Afotey, held a productive meeting with leaders of transport unions operating within the Krowor Municipality.

The focus was on strengthening collaboration and improving order, safety, and sanitation within our public transport system.

Key issues discussed included:

Compliance with the 15% fare reduction — unions are already implementing this following positive dialogue.

Eliminating floating/unregistered vehicles operating near designated lorry/taxi stations.

Stopping unauthorised vehicle washing at the Nungua Shell–Bank Road junction. A one-week ultimatum has been given for compliance.

Addressing drug-related activities at the Nungua Lorry Station.

Removing unauthorised structures around lorry terminals.

Fixing the uncomfortable road surface at the railway crossing.

Improving sanitation at the main bus terminal.

And other critical concerns affecting our transport ecosystem.

The MCE extends heartfelt appreciation to the District Police Command and all station leaders and representatives who actively participated. Your insights and commitment to positive change are deeply valued.

The Krowor Municipal Assembly remains committed to ensuring our roads are motorable, safe, and accessible for all — commercial drivers, private users, and pedestrians alike.

Together, we will build the Krowor we all want.
