INSPECTION OF FLOODED COMMUNITIES IN krowor

On Monday, 19th May 2025, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Krowor, Hon. Ing. Paul Afotey Quaye, paid a working visit to Okpoigonno, one of the communities severely affected by recent rain-induced flooding.
The MCE took time to walk through the affected areas, interact with residents, assess the extent of the destruction, and offer words of comfort and solidarity. On behalf of the Member of Parliament for Krowor, he conveyed heartfelt sympathies to all those impacted by the floods.
The scenes in Okpoigonno were a stark reminder of the serious challenges our coastal and low-lying communities face during the rainy season. Yet, amidst the devastation, what stood out most was the resilience, strength, and unity of the people.
The MCE expressed his appreciation for the courage shown by the residents and reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to working closely with stakeholders to develop more robust and sustainable flood mitigation measures.
Let us continue to support one another as we build a safer and more resilient municipality.
