DETERGENT STARTER PACK DISTRIBUTION IN KROWOR MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

As part of the Krowor Municipal Assembly’s (KroMa) mandate and initiative to enhance Local Economic Development program (LED), KroMa in collaboration with the Centre for National Culture on Wednesday, 12th February 2025 at Osokronowe in the Nungua enclave, undertook an initiative to support small-scale entrepreneurs by distributing starter packs for detergent making. This industrious event was led by Madam Martha Agbedanu of Center for National Culture, KroMa office together with Honorable Nii Bortey Gberjelor the Assembly man for the Nii Laweh electoral area.

This program was aimed at empowering individuals, particularly women, by providing them with the necessary resources to start their own detergent-making business after receiving prior training.

A total of 50 participants benefited from the distribution exercise. This group was predominantly composed of women who had undergone the detergent-making training program.

Each participant received a detergent-making start-up kit to help them commence their business. The kit included chemicals for preparing liquid soap and Parazone, a bucket, a bowl, 3 (5litre) gallons and a spatula. These items were carefully selected to provide the beneficiaries with essential tools to begin their detergent production efficiently.

The event was a success, as it marked a significant step in promoting self-sufficiency among the trainees by equipping them with both knowledge and materials. This training further contributed positively to the economic empowerment of local women and individuals while they leverage on this opportunity to create sustainable livelihoods through soap-making.
