KROWOR MUNICIPALITY WINS REGIONAL GA LANGUAGE COMPETITION

Pupils from various basic schools the municipality emerged overall winners of the recently held regional Ga language competition, themed “Ogboo Mi Ogboo”, which took place on Thursday 17th July 2025.

 

The event, which aimed to promote and preserve the Ga language and cultural heritage, featured contestants from across the region. However, the team representing Krowor, under the guidance of the Krowor Municipal Education Directorate, distinguished themselves and secured multiple awards in various categories of the competition.

Following their impressive performance, officials from the Municipal Education Directorate, teachers, and the victorious pupils paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ing. Paul Afotey Quaye, at the Assembly Hall. The visit was to present the trophies and prizes won during the competition and to express appreciation for the Assembly’s continuous support.

During the interaction, Hon. Ing. Paul Afotey Quaye extended heartfelt congratulations to the pupils, their dedicated teachers, and the entire Directorate. He commended their commitment to academic and cultural excellence and reaffirmed the Assembly’s unwavering support for educational initiatives and cultural development across the Municipality.

The Krowor Municipal Assembly remains committed to nurturing talent, promoting cultural pride, and supporting programs that uplift the youth and preserve local heritage.
