On May 19, 2025, the MCE of Krowor Municipal Assembly, Hon. Ing. Paul Afotey Quaye led a demolition exercise at Okpoi Gonno to remove an illegally mounted shrine structure built on land designated for a storm drain project.
Though there was major resistance by some residents, the situation was swiftly managed with the support of the Kpeshie Divisional Police and the Nungua task force allowing the operation to proceed smoothly.
This action is part of ongoing efforts to improve drainage and infrastructure within the municipality.
