Research has shown that the youth are often the perpetrators of radical activities and vigilante violence. Most of them however, come under the influence of other interest groups acting out of ignorance of the basic laws, regulations, and policies such as the Public Order Act, ( Act, 491), the vigilante and related offences Act, 2019  (Act 999).

In view of this, students and other collective bodies were sensitized to avoid violence and live in harmony with others, respect the rights, freedoms and legitimate interest of others, and generally to refrain from doing acts detrimental to the welfare of other persons as enshrined in the 1992 Constitution, Article 41, Clause C and D. They were advised to keep watch and report to security agencies on any one or group of persons posing threat to national security in our communities and the country at large.  The exercise was held in February, 2023.
